Amstel Botel - Amsterdam

The Amstel Botel offers a taste of living on the water, a true experience of Amsterdam. It is newly located at the latest cultural hotspot, NDSM-shipyard in Amsterdam North. A free ferry connection during the day and a free bus at night, shuttles guests to and from Central Station. Also convenient is the availability of free parking facilities, a real rarity in Amsterdam. Begin the day with an excellent breakfast while enjoying houseboat living. Later, explore the dockside area of workshops, artists' studios, cool cafés, exhibitions and performances. Tasty meals can be enjoyed on a nearby boat, or onshore. The hotel is located north of Central Station, exit on the back of the central station for the ferry. You can reach us from the back (north side) of Amsterdam central station. Over there you can take a ferry free of charge. Ferry takes approx 10 minutes. At night and early morning when the ferry is not running, we have our own free of charge shuttle bus, clearly marked, opposite the NDSM ferry that will take you to and from the Amstel Botel. The shuttle bus only operates when the ferry is not running, midnight and early morning! The shuttle departs from the "city side" of the station near the Holland International pier. From Schiphol Airport: The train to Amsterdam Central Station (about 19 minutes travel time) costs EUR 3.60 one-way (2nd class).

From January 2008 the Amstel Botel has a new location, the former NDSM shipyard in northern Amsterdam. This new location can be reached by a free of charge ferry connection from Amsterdam Central Station and during the night time there will be a free of charge shuttle bus. The new location has free of charge public parking facilities; this is unique in Amsterdam.
