Restaurant & Hotel Bij de Watermölle - Haaksbergen

Restaurant & Hotel Bi'j de Watermölle is only 10 minutes away from the centre of Haaksbergen, and it is located in a very beautiful rural area around the Oostendorper water mill. The building, which was originally an old working farm, has been renovated and turned into a characteristic hotel with 5 intimate suites. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, and the kitchen has even been rewarded a "bib gourmand" by Michelin. The area is ideal for cycling and walking.

The Oostendorper water mill has a long tradition dating back to 1548. It was renovated in the summer 1990 when a cosy restaurant with an antique traditional interior was added. The water mill is one of several historical buildings in the area. The water mill was renovated and converted to a charming hotel in 2001. Since then we offer our guests holidays in five luxurious suites with unique interiors (Twente style) and view of the mill.

The golf centre Het Langeloo is located only 300 m from Restaurant & Hotel Bi'j de Watermölle. It features a 6 hole golf course, the tropical swimming pool "de Wilder" and other places where you can practice sports. The city centre of Haaksbergen is nearby. You will find many shops in town as well as the museum Buurt Spoorweg, which is also worth a visit. There are regular train connections between Haaksbergen and Boeklo. The cities Hengelo and Ensched are only 15 km away.

Itinerary: Follow the white signs for "De Wilder" (indoor swimming pool). At "De Wilder", which is situated at the back of the car park, continue to follow the street "Scholtenhagenweg". After you have passed the athletics track on your left side, you turn to the left, into the "Watermolenweg". Follow this street until you see our restaurant, opposite the water mill.

Culinary Tour de Force The open kitchen is the heart of our establishment. In our restaurant you can enjoy the culinary highlights of the owner, Mr Huub Wolferink, and his team. On the menu, which changes regularly, we offer the most delicious local specialties, prepared with products from Twente. Depending on the season, you can enjoy a fresh summer salad or eat game. Cooking as an Art Our special buffet-style menu is perfect for business lunches, dinner for two or for a company, but we can also arrange brunches or a high-tea for you. Of course we will always take your special requests into consideration. In short: there's a lot possible by mutual agreement.
